Sunshine Grill – The Island’s Favorite Local Gem
Bright, lively, and loved by locals, Sunshine Grill has long been a Cayman favorite, famous for its award-winning fish tacos, signature burgers, and island-style cocktails served with a smile.
As part of our reimagining, the Grill has been fully renovated, blending its relaxed charm with a fresh tropical design. Guests can also enjoy exclusive dining access at our sister property on Seven Mile Beach, just a few minutes away, with full beach, pool, and charging privileges.
The Sunshine Grill has been the recipient of many local accolades, including multiple wins at Taste of Cayman for our fish tacos. Our burgers have been voted Best Burger for the past three years by BestofCayman.com. Les Standiford, the critically acclaimed author, recently commented: “The restaurant’s hamburger is the best I have ever had…If Andy Warhol were to have painted a hamburger, it would have (or should have) looked like yours. And as for the taste…simply heavenly!”
We serve an à la carte breakfast in the Sunshine Grill from 7:00am to 10:45am 365 days a year. This breakfast features freshly squeezed, cold-pressed juices, coffee, homemade sage sausage, award-winning pancakes, Cuban French toast, Banana oatmeal crème brûlée and omelets. Kid-friendly, relaxed and very affordable.
Our wide and varied lunch menu has something for everyone. Start off with a variety of delicious appetizers, including our famous Jerk Chicken Egg rolls, our special Asian salad, and our Naked Wahoo and Mushroom Bites. Next, dig into our famous burgers, fish tacos, or our awesome Grilled Reuben sandwich. Our breads are baked daily, our beef is ground fresh each morning, and we proudly feature local produce and enthusiastically support our local growers! Serving lunch from 10:45 am to 5:00 pm daily.
Several of our chefs hail from the legendary culinary nation of Cuba. In fact, two of our chefs staffed the kitchen in the famous il Ajibe restaurant in Havana. They brought with them several authentic Cuban dishes, including the Havana chicken, which is an island favorite. If you are tempted, make sure you come early because this dish sells out first every evening! We also serve delicious fish specials, including the Grilled Mahi and the Wahoo & Mushroom Bites. Our lunch favorites are available as dinner entrées as well. Open until 10:00 pm daily.
Relax and unwind with one of our delightful Caribbean Cocktails. Our wonderful and helpful staff at the Grill will be pleased to make suggestions for either non-alcoholic or alcoholic beverages. We offer a variety of refreshing beverages, including our locally made Caybrew draft beer, wonderful tasting rum mojitos, and most importantly our famous signature cocktail, the “Painkiller”.
